The University of Salamanca is part of the international consortium, SurveyLang, which exists to deliver the European Survey on Language Competences.

SurveyLang regularly sends reports to the European Commission and the Advisory Groups to keep them informed of the Survey development areas. Made up of representants from each of the European Commission member states, the Advisory Group give advice to the European Commission with regard to the application of the Survey results and the development of indicators of language.

The Advisory Group hold meetings several times a year. The Consortium combines knowledge and experience in the fields of language assessment, test material production, sampling and information gathering.

Furthermore, SurveyLang also works on educational measurement, cognitive psychology, research design, psychometry and data analysis.
