Additional Courses
Cursos Internacionales offers the following additional courses, which are specially held in July and August:
- Spanish Guitar: course length 12 hours.
- Spanish Dance: course length 12 hours.
- Spanish Songs: course length 12 hours.
- Spanish cooking: 6 hours, divided in four one and a half hour long sessions.
- Spanish cinema (course held in collaboration with the Film Library of Castilla y León). The course consists on eight films, with presentation and discussion, and divided into groups according to their general subject matter. Students must attend all sessions in order to receive the final accreditation
City tours
Cursos Internacionales's students can make guided visits to the most important monuments of Salamanca throughout the year: the University, the two Cathedrals, the Dueñas Convent, Plateresque Palaces...
Excursions
Cursos Internacionales organizes a wide range of excursions all the year-round so that students can know some of the most traditional destinations near Salamanca. The most common excursion destinations are:
- One-day trips: Segovia and the Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso; the Royal Seat of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and Ávila; León and Zamora; Burgos; Cáceres; the Castle Road; Ciudad Rodrigo and La Alberca; Toledo.
- Two-day trips: Toledo and Madrid; the Route of Don Quixote.
- Three-day trips: Barcelona; Portugal (Lisbon-Estoril-Cascais-Obidos); Andalusia (Seville and Granada).

"Noches del Fonseca", evening entertainment in Fonseca
Every year in July and August, the University of Salamanca hosts the “Fonseca nights” season as part of its summer program of activities. The event features top names from the world of music, popular plays and dance performances. All shows take place in the open air in the magnificent Renaissance Archbishop Fonseca College in Salamanca.
